Final Project Game

In the process of making this game I wanted to start something like the fish project, so instead i used different background and different sprites, but the same concept. An animal eating smaller animals to gain points. Eating a beetle would subtract points. There were not many ways I could work through my problems because we were not allowed to use the tips bar on scratch nor look on other project on how to do something. I really did try my very hardest to make this game into a cool exciting game. there are so many block options that at times this became very frustrating. I tested my project out my playing the game many times. I hope you ike this game Ms.Connor because its not super challenging but it is fun!

For my final scratch game I want to create a game that takes place in a spooky forest. In this forest there is going to be a bat flying around. The concept of the game will be for the bat to catch the bugs and animals flying and crawling around. The level will get harder by adding more bugs and more animals and maybe speeding them up as the levels get higher.

Week 2 DebugIt Reflection

This week we did another 5 DebugIts. I like it so much better working with a partner. Its amazing how when you share ideas how fast you can come up with a solution. That is the solution me and my partner used, working together and to share our ideas and to talk about possible problems and what to do to fix them. I i were to help somebody use DebugIt I would tell them to look through the script and try all different ideas and really to look through the blocks. It really helps!

10 Block Challenge Reflection

I thought that this 10 block challenge was fun. It was different to not have the tips and have direct steps to follow. Although at times where you feel stumped for a minute or two I thought it was fairly easy. This activity works your brain a little and gets your creativity flowing! I liked it. It helps you learn Scratch and how it works because you yourself have to search for what your looking for and what you are trying to do. It impacts your ideas because your ideas change every minute due to what new things you discover.

Scratch Overview

Today in computer apps, we learned about a new website called scratch. Something that was very surprising was how easy this website was to use. This was partly because it gave us step by step directions and that is something I really liked about this website. I thought in this case it was very helpful to know exactly what to do. The only time as a learner when I really need my freedom is when Im asked to write or talk about something specific, that is when to voice my opinions and not be told or structured what to do.

Webpage Design Overview

The webpage overall was a fun thing to do. I had some problems during the process. One thing that was difficult for me was finding out how to do and insert everything into the HTML design. The hardest part to do for me was inserting the boarders. I had asked a classmate to help me which really helped. The success part of this project comes from when you get to see what you have done. It is satisfying and very fun! My favorite part was adding pictures, it really helped pull the whole webpage together.

Excel

The past two days in computer applications class we have been working on excel. We used a website to help guide us through each and every assignment. I thought that there were many things on excel that were interesting and that I wouldn't know without this website guiding us. Excel can be extremely useful for business or math and other things as well.Although excel can be very frustrating when you don't know what your doing its a very good skill to have.

Mac or PC?

Recently in my computer applications class we had to do a power point slide on computers. We compared many differences from Mac and Pc computers. Overall I would choose the mac computer. The mac had far better components that stood out to me.

Code.org Games

Today in computer apps, we went on to code.org and we played a maze game. At times this game became very frustrating and difficult. As in every game the first levels (1-10) you could say were easy. Level 20 was the highest level and that is the one I had gotten stuck on today. It was kind of fun, but more frustrating and i didn't love it.
